Gaskets and seals are widely used in modern industry and life.
The traditional method to produce gaskets is mainly with molding
machines or press, but more and more flashes appear due to the
difference of multi-cavity and aging of mold, as a result of raw
material waste and labor consumption.
About 10 years ago, our engineers noted this situation and found
that the kind of plain gaskets and seals can be cut off from tubes
instead of traditional one-step molding.
In this way, can eliminate the burrs problem and highly improve the production capacity.
Thus the reason we designed our mandrel cutting machines, a kind of precision machines for cutting gaskets and O-rings from molded or
extruded tubes/pipes/hoses made of
rubber/plastic/silicone/polyurethane/foam or similar hard and
half-hard materials.
The distinguishing features are the unique cutting method brings
together high output and the highest cut quality.
Making use of our cutting machines can greatly improve efficiency
and advance precision. The precision of cutting running accuracy is
0.01mm, resetting accuracy is 0.01mm, deviation ±0.03mm, and
cutting surface luster can reach.
How does the process of mandrel cutting machine?
Machine process chart:
PROCESS:
To produce the plain section gaskets, rubber tubes – already cut to
length – are stretched onto mandrels. Loading and unloading of the
tubes onto the mandrels is done quickly by a special unit and
without any particular skill being required.
A knife carriage travels along the tubes, cutting the rings to the
required length, either with slotting tools or circular knives.
The use of the most modern servo-technologies makes the mandrel
machines even more versatile: knife penetration speed and carriage
advance are fully free-programmable – for optimal processing of
materials with different characteristics.
